Let’s go hiking!
Our destination: Lake Verwall
Verwalltal is car-free, enchanting, and steeped in legend. It’s the ideal place for a summer excursion near St. Anton am Arlberg.
The route to Lake Verwall is exciting and leads over a 35-metre-long steel-cable bridge that connects the two sides of Rosanna river. Water is the defining element of this enchanting hike through Verwalltal. The trail leads to the lake and then all the way around it. You’ll conquer around 320 metres of elevation on this 10-kilometre trail. Plan around three hours’ hiking time for your tour. The starting point of the hike on Arlbergstrasse is right here at Arpuria (which is also ideally situated for reaching the Arlberg ski resorts in winter), and you’ll reach the lake on foot in about an hour. And of course, the lake is also a fantastic destination for a leisurely bike tour!
Once you’ve arrived, you’ll find this stunning aquatic gem nestled amidst a stunning landscape. Perhaps you’ll even meet the witch of Stubenegg or discover the treasure of Arlen on your hike. The area around Verwalltal is rich in legends which await you on your way to the lake.
After your hike, return to Arpuria, your hidden luxury mountain home and enjoy a delicious energy boost at the afternoon indulgent buffet.
We wish you fantastically beautiful summer days!
