Acrobatics, snow, and skiing history
The ski show in St. Anton
Do you know the history of skiing? This unique ski show in St. Anton takes you on a journey into the past.
Spectacular acrobatics on the snow, modern light effects, and skiing history all await you during the “The Snow Must Go On” ski show in St. Anton. Starting from 10 January, the 45-minute show takes place in the Karl Schranz ski stadium every Wednesday at 9 p.m. and shows the development of skiing and technology over the decades. The show and performances are accompanied by music and spectacular visual effects. The slope itself is transformed into a gigantic screen.
Did you know that St. Anton am Arlberg is known as the birthplace of Alpine skiing? At the end of the 19th century, a Norwegian engineer glided through the snow on two boards to his workplace at the Arlberg tunnel. Afterwards, three men tried the unknown sport – and the rest is glorious history that you can experience up close during the ski show.
After an adrenaline-filled day on the slopes of Mt Arlberg, you can relax in the Aria Spa at Arpuria, your hotel near the Arlberg ski resorts, and snuggle up in the panoramic lounge.
